The Notorious BIG, also known as Christopher Wallace, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this weekend. Hot New Hip Hop says that the legendary rapper was inducted last night despite only having one album out during his lifetime.
Hot New Hip Hop says P. Diddy was there for the event. After discovering Biggie Smalls and believing he had tremendous talent, Diddy signed him to his record label in 1993. In addition to Biggie’s induction, Diddy also saw Jay-Z, Nas, and Lin-Manuel Miranda entered into the hall of fame as well.
According to Pitchford, Diddy took the stage and said Christopher Wallace wanted to be the biggest, the best, and he wanted to impact people’s lives in a positive way. “And that clearly has been done all over the world,” the legendary music mogul explained.
Diddy went on to explain that no one has managed to sound the way Christopher sounded, and no one has captured that energy, flow, and frequency. Furthermore, Biggie’s family commented on his legacy, including CJ.
The Notorious BIG was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame like many other artists, including Nine Inch Nails, T. Rex, Depeche Mode, the Doobie Brothers, and Whitney Houston, among others.
Biggie’s legacy has continued on in the culture in a number of ways as well, including in the case of the late Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. A film and documentary came out about Ruth, who passed away earlier this year, and its title was a reference to Biggie: The Notorious RBG.
Earlier this year, Biggie’s son came out to say that Biggie Smalls would’ve been honored to share the title with the legendary Supreme Court justice. In past interviews, Ruth had been asked whether she was embarrassed to share his name, and the Justice asked why would she?

She claimed they were both from Brooklyn. Moreover, many have insinuated that Ruth and Biggie both, managed to achieve success despite insurmountable odds. Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away earlier this year after a long battle with cancer.
