Dale Earnhardt Jr. his wife, Amy and their young daughter Isla, have been rushed to the hospital following a fiery plane crash. People magazine is reporting the Earnhardt family is thankfully fine, but the crash has them shaken to their core.
On Thursday, the plane the racecar driver and his family were flying in caught fire after landing at the Elizabethton Tennessee Municipal Airport. Not long after news of the crash broke, Kelley Earnhardt Miller Twitter to let fans know the family and pilots of the plane were safe. Kelley is Dale’s sister and racing business, partner.
“Everyone is safe and has been taken to the hospital for further evaluation. We have no further information at this time. Thank you for your understanding,” she Tweeted.

The FAA released a statement explaining the plane rolled off the runway and caught fire. Elizabethton Fire Department arrived on the scene within minutes to transport, Dale, Amy, and Isla to the Johnson City Medical Center to be checked out.
A spokesperson for the fire department shared the Earnhardt family had some cuts and abrasions but that is it. Thankfully though there were no serious injuries to Dale, Amy, Isla or the two pilots also on the Cessna Citation, which is owned by the former NASCAR pro driver.
Photos and videos from the crash scene featuring a blackened aircraft, surrounded by billowing smoke have started to pop up on social media. Well-wishes for the Earnhardt family have also begun to pour in, with people expressing their gratitude no one was injured.
